Promenade Exchange
Fall 2025 (Sept-Nov)
In the center of Baltimore, the Inner Harbor beats as the city's heart. With much of Baltimore's history beginning at the Harbor, its most recent inhabitant is HarborPlace Shopping Pavilions. Now a faded novelty, the historic Harbor brings pedestrians through Baltimore with the existing Promenade. The Baltimore Harbor: Harborplace Exchange is a collaborative design project. I designed the hotel building with one other partner, and all public spaces were designed jointly. The Promenade Exchange offers a space for locals and tourists alike to utilize the Inner Harbor, proposing this scheme as a pinnacle of Baltimore's future.
Activating the site with public spaces that serve the community's needs. Creating a seamless exchange of recreation, shopping, dining, wellness, and outreach for all to access within the site. The hotel and public base, in addition to the residential building, create a symbiotic ecosystem for people from all walks of life to utilize when coming into contact with the site. Connecting locals and tourists through the Harbor's shared spaces: A network of activity, culture, and community woven throughout the site.
